Pricing policy

The price of the painting is given on the webpage.

The pricing of paintings/works is as stated on the webpage at time/date of purchase and is the agreed price of the painting when the sale is made.

Payment options & policy

The following types of payment are accepted:

Visa, MasterCard, or over the telephone
Direct Deposit into our account
Bank cheques

Please note – all payments must clear into our account prior to receipt or shipment of any goods.

Deliveries of paintings charges

  • Free – under 25cm any side
  • $40 small Painting (up to 70 cm on any side)
  • $80 Medium Painting (70cm-90cm on any side)
  • $150 Large Paintings (91cm + on any side)

NB Any framed work is measured as above by the outside framed area.

Once the monies have been paid in full &/or cleared to our account, we send you the Painting, Receipt of Sale & Certificate of Authenticity, via Australia Post larger works via tracked Pack and Send Art Service or International Art Couriers within 1- 2 weeks. Only reputable companies are used.

Delivery times may vary especially with international purchases. Should there be any extra shipping & handling fees that may occur this will be discussed with the customer for approval before sending.

These additional fees will need to be paid in full before goods are dispatched.

You are very welcome to collect your purchase from the studio at Wentworth Falls. If you wish someone else to pick up your purchase we ask that permission be given in writing of these arrangements before we will release your purchase to that third party. We want to ensure the painting goes to the person who bought it.


Yes lay-by’s are available. They can be organised for a 1-12 month period. Email or phone Ruth le Cheminant for details.

Details of the lay-by between you and Ruth le Cheminant will be emailed and/or posted to the purchaser.

A deposit of 20% of the total purchase price (including postage & handling if applicable) needs to be made to secure the work. Lay-by payments can be made on regular arranged payments by direct debit, or by an agreed payment scheme worked out by the buyer and Ruth le Cheminant.

Once all monies are paid in full, we will ship your purchase to you or you can arrange to pick it up personally or make other arrangement for its collection.

Should you decide to terminate the lay-by you will be refunded the amount paid less an admin cost of 10%. Paintings/works on lay-by will be delivered on completion of payment of the full cost of the work.

Also Ruth le Cheminant retains the right to cancel the lay-by at any time if payments are not paid as per the agreed schedule or is unable to make contact with you. Please note: if you are experiencing difficulties in making payments contact Ruth le Cheminant at The Loaded Brush, we are happy to work things out with you. This is preferable to losing the opportunity to own an original work of art.

All goods shall remain the sole property of Ruth le Cheminant & within its possession until fully paid.
