See Horizons before it closes Sunday 7 October

Here’s an opportunity to see original Ruth le Cheminant paintings. At Braemar Gallery Springwood before the exhibition Horizons finishes on Sunday 7 October.  The gallery is open 10am to 4pm Thursday to Sunday and is housed in a wonderful heritage building on the main road of Springwood. To make it easier to find have a look at the images below.
Much of the work in the exhibition is in response to visits taken to Little Kickerbell on the Liverpool Plains near Quirindi – for those who may not know Little Kickerbell is an hour from Tamworth!  Ruth was struck by the impact the drought has had on the environment of the region. The fertile burnt umber soil of the plains is now more exposed and the vegetation has lost it’s luscious green and is now replaced by the more earthy colours of a drying landscape. The response can particularly be seen in the works done plein air at Little Kickerbell – Liverpool Plains in Winter 1,2 & 3 – where the composition has been refined to the dominant forms and colours that had such an impact on Ruth. Ruth hopes you will enjoy the paintings and the exhibition. To buy a painting simply contact Ruth on 0410306621. And cards are available of paintings in the exhibition.
